Sites That Move Net Revenue Retention

Product marketing, conversion architecture, and programmatic organic growth for funded SaaS teams who are measured on activation, expansion, and CAC payback.

Built for SaaS

The Site Is Part of the Product

In a product-led motion, the marketing site is the first screen of onboarding. It sets the expectation the product has to meet, decides which segment signs up, and determines whether a trial reaches first value or churns silently in week two. We build it that way.

Positioning against a real alternative

Category framing, competitive comparison pages, and use-case narratives written for the buyer who is currently solving this with a spreadsheet or an incumbent.

Pricing that survives procurement

Tier architecture, packaging logic, and a pricing page instrumented so you can see which plan the traffic self-selects before sales ever touches it.

Signup to first value

Onboarding flows, empty states, and activation checkpoints designed with the same rigor as the acquisition funnel — because that is where retention is won.

Programmatic and docs-led SEO

Templated pages at scale, integration and comparison surfaces, and documentation treated as an acquisition channel rather than a support cost.

Deliverables

What Gets Built

Six surfaces that carry the growth model, not six pages that carry a logo.

Product Narrative

Category position, ICP definition, message hierarchy, and proof structure. The document your sales team, your ads, and your board deck all inherit from.

Conversion Site

Home, product, use case, comparison, and customer surfaces built as a system in Next.js or Astro, on a headless CMS your PMM can edit without a ticket.

Pricing & Packaging

Plan structure, usage metric selection, annual incentive design, and enterprise contact paths — each variant tested against revenue per visitor, not click rate.

Activation Layer

Signup, verification, workspace setup, sample data, and the first-run sequence that gets a new account to its aha moment inside one session.

Organic Growth Engine

Programmatic templates for integrations, alternatives, and templates directories, plus technical SEO on rendering, canonicals, and crawl budget at scale.

Measurement Stack

Server-side tagging, product analytics events, warehouse sync, and an experiment framework so a test result is trusted by finance as well as marketing.

The Model

Acquisition Is the Cheap Part

A rebrand that lifts signups 20 percent and does nothing to activation is a rounding error you paid an agency for. If 100 signups produce 38 activated accounts and 11 paid conversions, moving activation to 55 percent is worth more than doubling top-of-funnel — and it does not raise CAC by a dollar.

Expansion compounds harder still. Net revenue retention above 110 percent means the installed base grows without new logos, which is the difference between a company that needs the next round and one that chooses whether to raise it. Seat prompts, usage ceilings, and upgrade paths all live on surfaces we build.

So we scope engagements around the metric that is actually binding. Sometimes that is the pricing page. Sometimes it is a broken empty state. Rarely is it the hero headline everyone wants to argue about.

Where we intervene

Time to first value

Cut the steps between signup and the moment the product proves itself. Sample workspaces, templates, and imports instead of an empty dashboard.

Self-serve to sales-assist handoff

Product-qualified lead scoring wired to the site, so an account showing enterprise behavior gets a human before it hits a plan ceiling and leaves.

Expansion surfaces

Upgrade prompts, seat invitations, and usage dashboards designed as product marketing rather than billing screens.

Segment routing

The same homepage serving a solo operator and a security-reviewing enterprise buyer serves neither. We split the paths early and instrument both.

Trust for procurement

SOC 2 posture, sub-processor lists, DPAs, uptime history, and security documentation published where a buyer’s legal team can find them unassisted.

Contrast

Why This Is Not a Brand Refresh

The Typical Studio

Ships a beautiful homepage and never touches the product surface.

Hands over a design file and lets your engineers absorb the build cost.

Reports sessions and bounce rate. Nobody can tie it to ARR.

Treats pricing as a layout exercise, not a packaging decision.

Disappears at launch, right when the experiments should start.

Dark Water

Owns the path from first impression through activation and expansion.

Ships production code and a component library your team keeps using.

Reports activated accounts, pipeline, and revenue per visitor.

Rebuilds packaging and tests it against revenue per visitor.

Runs a continuous experiment roadmap after launch, included in your monthly plan.

Engagement

The First 90 Days

Days 1–14 — Diagnose

Funnel instrumentation review, cohort analysis on activation and retention, win-loss interviews, and a ranked list of the constraints actually costing revenue.

Days 15–35 — Position

Category narrative, ICP and segment definitions, message hierarchy, and packaging recommendations. Signed off by product, sales, and the founder in one room.

Days 36–70 — Build

Design system, site build, activation flow work, and programmatic templates shipped in production code against a staging environment your engineers can review.

Days 71–90 — Compound

Launch, then a rolling experiment roadmap with a weekly readout on activation, conversion, and pipeline. Losing tests are documented, not buried.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Usually on the surfaces your team never has bandwidth for: positioning, pricing, programmatic templates, and the marketing site itself, while they stay focused on the product. We ship into your repo and your design system so nothing forks.

Yes. Signup, onboarding, empty states, upgrade prompts, and billing screens are where activation and expansion are decided. We scope those explicitly and coordinate with your engineering team on the release path.

We do not run underpowered split tests and call the result a win. Below meaningful volume we use sequential testing, qualitative research, session replay, and painted-door tests, and we reserve statistical testing for the surfaces that actually have the sample size.

Pricing. Tier structure, the usage metric you meter on, annual incentives, and enterprise thresholds. The page is the last step. Most of the value is in the packaging decision that comes before it.

Template families with genuine utility — integration pages, alternatives and comparison surfaces, template libraries, and glossary depth — built on data you already own. Then the technical work that keeps thousands of pages indexed: rendering strategy, canonicals, internal linking, and crawl budget.

No, but it changes the sequence. We front-load the narrative, the metrics story, and the surfaces investors and diligence teams will actually read, then finish the long-cycle organic work after the round closes.
